Steel and aluminum fence
Ornamental metal fence gives you a strong boundary without blocking the view. We build it in steel and aluminum, and for most jobs we recommend steel. It is much stronger than aluminum, it stands up to bumps, big dogs and Missouri storms, and its powder coated black finish looks sharp for years.
Black steel fence around a backyard
Steel is not only for businesses. It makes a great fence for a backyard, a front yard, a pool or the dog, and it is the same material we used for the rooftop safety fence on a Columbia parking garage.
Why we recommend steel
-
Much stronger
Steel takes a hit from a mower, a ball, a big dog or a falling limb and stays straight where aluminum bends.
-
Great at home
Backyards, front yards, pools, corner lots and dog yards. Steel is a home fence too, not just a commercial one.
-
Built to last
A powder coated finish protects the steel and keeps the black looking sharp.
-
Keeps the view open
Like any ornamental fence, you see your yard, your pool and the road right through it.
Steel at home
A steel fence is a great fit around a house: a backyard for the dog and the kids, a front yard, a pool or a corner lot. It has the classic look of black iron fence, it keeps the view open and it holds up to years of everyday life.
If you are choosing between steel and aluminum for your home, we will usually point you to steel. You get a stronger fence that looks the same from the street.
When aluminum makes sense
Aluminum is lighter and does not rust, so it can be a fit right at the water or where weight matters. For most yards, and for every job that needs real strength, steel is the better fence. Not sure which one fits? Ask us and we will tell you straight.
Pool safety fence
A pool fence has to meet your local code for height, picket spacing and gates that close and latch on their own. We build pool safety fence to the code where you live, in steel or aluminum, so you can see the pool right through it.
Where it fits
- Backyards, front yards and corner lots
- Dog yards and play areas
- Pools, built to your local code
- Parks, trails and schools
- Churches and public buildings
- Storefronts, entrances and parking areas
- Rooftops and other places where safety comes first
