White vinyl privacy fence along a backyard

Residential fence installation

A fence is something you look at every day, so it should be built straight, set solid and finished clean. We build wood, vinyl, chain link and ornamental fence for homes across Mid-Missouri, from new builds with bare dirt yards to older homes replacing a fence that has done its time.

Chain link is a big part of that. It is the fence a lot of homeowners pick for the dog, the kids and the garden, because it is tough, it keeps the view open and it is easy on the budget.

What people usually need it for

  • Privacy from neighbors or the road
  • Keeping the dog home
  • A safe yard for kids
  • Pool fence that meets your local code
  • Marking a property line
  • Finishing off a new build
  • Replacing a fence that is leaning, rotting or storm damaged

FAQ

Questions we get a lot

How tall of a fence can you build?

Any height you need. We build fence in any size, from a short garden fence to tall privacy, sports and security fence. On a home, the usual limit is your city or HOA, which often set a lower height for front yards and corner lots, so check yours before you pick a height.

Do you take out my old fence?

Yes. When we build your new fence, we take the old one out and haul it away for free. If you only need an old fence torn out, we do that too and quote it on its own.

Do I need to call 811 before you build my fence?

No. We take care of all the utility marking before we dig, including the locate request through the Missouri One Call System (811).

What is the best fence for dogs?

Chain link and wood privacy are the most common. Chain link is affordable and hard to get through. A privacy fence also blocks the view, which keeps a lot of barkers calmer. Tell us about your dog when we come out, because jumpers and diggers change what we recommend.

Should I pick wood or vinyl?

Wood costs less up front and looks natural, but needs stain or sealer to last. Vinyl costs more up front, never needs paint or stain, and keeps its clean look for years with a quick rinse from the garden hose. If you plan to stay a long time and hate maintenance, vinyl usually wins.

Do you repair fences you did not build?

Yes. Call (573) 680-0410 or send the form with a few details and photos if you have them.

Do I need to know where my property line is?

Yes. We build where you tell us the line is. If you are not sure, a survey from a licensed surveyor is the only way to know for certain, and it is cheap insurance against a dispute later.
